Biography of Rudolph Matas

Rudolph Matas (* 12. September 1860 in St. Charles Parish; † 23. September 1957 in New Orleans) was a father of Modern Vascular Surgery. He was 97 years old. He studied at Tulane University School of Medicine. He worked at Tulane University of Louisiana. He was awarded the honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. He was buried at Metairie Cemetery.
