Ruth Prawer Jhabvala (* May 7, 1927 in Cologne; † April 3, 2013 in Manhattan) was a german-born British-American author. She was 85 years old. She studied at Queen Mary University of London. She received 8 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, MacArthur Fellows Program. Her cause of death was lung disease.
