Sergey Starostin (* 24. March 1953 in Moscow; † 30. September 2005 in Moscow) was a russian linguist and philologist. He was 52 years old. He studied at Philological Faculty of Moscow State University. He was awarded the Honorary doctor of Leiden University. His cause of death was myocardial infarction. He was buried at Donskoe cemetery.
