
Japanese metal carver (1907-1988)
Shirō Naitō (* 14. March 1907 in Tokyo; † 12. January 1988 in Urawa) was a japanese metal carver. He was 80 years old. His education included Tokyo Metropolitan Kogei High School and Tokyo Academy of Fine Arts. He worked at Tokyo University of the Arts. He was awarded the Living National Treasure of Japan. His cause of death was heart failure.
