Biography of Sigrid Undset

Sigrid Undset (* 20. May 1882 in Kalundborg; † 10. June 1949 in Lillehammer) was a norwegische Romanautorin, Novellistin und Essayistin. She was 67 years old. She was married to Anders Castus Svarstad. She studied at Fru Ragna Nielsens skole. Her faith was Catholicism. Her awards include Nobel Prize in Literature, Knight Grand Cross of the Order of St. Olav‎ and Order of the Falcon. She was buried at Mesnali Churchyard.
