Simone Weil (* 3. February 1909 in Paris; † 24. August 1943 in Ashford) was a französische Philosophin, Sozialrevolutionärin, Mystikerin und Autorin. She was 34 years old. Her education included Lycée Henri-IV, École Normale Supérieure, University of Paris and Lycée Fénelon, Paris. Her faith was nondenominational Christianity. She was awarded the Ambassadors' Prize. Her cause of death was tuberculosis. She was buried at Bybrook Cemetery.
