Biography of Spurgeon Neel

Spurgeon Neel (* 24. September 1919 in Memphis; † 6. June 2003 in San Antonio) was a recipient of the Purple Heart medal. He was 83 years old. His education included Harvard University, George Washington University, University of Memphis, University of Tennessee and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. His awards include Bronze Star Medal, Legionnaire of Legion of Merit and Purple Heart. He was buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
