Thomas Hocken (* 14. January 1836 in Rutland; † 17. May 1910 in Dunedin) was an anglo-New Zealand physician, collector and writer on New Zealand. He was 74 years old. He was married to Bessie Hocken. His education included Durham University and Woodhouse Grove School. He worked at University of Otago. He was awarded the Fellow of the Linnean Society of London. He was buried at Dunedin Northern Cemetery.
