Biography of Thomas Karis

Thomas Karis (* 21. November 1919 in Minneapolis; † 18. August 2017) was a historian of the South African liberation movement. He was 97 years old. His education included University of Minnesota and Columbia University. He worked at United States Department of State, City College of New York, University of Zambia and Human Rights Watch. He was awarded the Order of the Companions of O. R. Tambo.
