Thorstein Veblen (* 30. July 1857 in Cato; † 3. August 1929 in Menlo Park) was an uS-amerikanischer Ökonom und Soziologe. He was 72 years old. His education included Johns Hopkins University, Carleton College and Yale University. He worked at University of Missouri, Stanford University, University of Chicago and The New School for Social Research. His faith was atheism. He was awarded the John Addison Porter Prize.
