Biography of Trần Văn Khê

Trần Văn Khê (* 24. July 1921 in French Indochina; † 24. June 2015 in Ho Chi Minh City) was a musicologist. He was 93 years old. He had at least 1 child (1 son). His education included Le Hong Phong High School, Sciences Po, Faculty of Arts of Paris and Paris-Sorbonne University - Paris IV. He worked at Catholic University of Paris, Faculty of Arts of Paris, Paris-Sorbonne University - Paris IV, National Center for Scientific Research and UNESCO. His awards include Officer of Arts and Letters and Fumio Koizumi Prize for Ethnomusicology.
