Tzvetan Todorov (* 1. March 1939 in Sofia; † 7. February 2017 in 13th arrondissement of Paris) was a bulgarian historian, philosopher, structuralist literary critic, sociologist and essayist. He was 77 years old. He was married to Nancy Huston. His education included Sofia University and School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences. He received 10 awards, including Knight of the Legion of Honour, Princess of Asturias Award for Social Sciences. His cause of death was neurological disorder.
