Biography of Václav Černý

Václav Černý (* 26. March 1905 in Jizbice; † 2. July 1987 in Prague) was a tschechischer Literat und Übersetzer (1905 – 1987). He was 82 years old. His education included Charles University, Lycée Carnot, Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague and Examination Board for Teachers at Secondary Schools of Charles University. He worked at Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague, Charles University, University of Geneva and Masaryk University. He was awarded the Order of Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, 1st class. He was buried at Evangelical Cemetery in Praha-Strašnice.
