Biography of Vasiliy Valdaytsev

Vasiliy Valdaytsev (* 20. March 1913 in Valdaysky Uyezd; † 5. January 1981 in Saint Petersburg) was a soviet cameraman of fiction and non-fiction films, front-line cameraman during the Second World War. He was 67 years old. He studied at Saint Petersburg State University of Cinema and Television. His awards include Medal "For the Defence of Leningrad", Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945" and Medal "For Valiant Labour in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945".
