Biography of Viktor Koezmitsj Abalakin

Viktor Koezmitsj Abalakin (* 27. August 1930 in Odesa; † 23. April 2018 in New York City) was a russian astronomer. He was 87 years old. He studied at Odesa University. He worked at Pulkovo Observatory and Institute of Theoretical Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences. His awards include USSR State Prize and Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 2nd class without swords. He was buried at Novo-Diveevo Russian Orthodox Cemetery.
