Biography of Vito Volterra

Vito Volterra (* 3. May 1860 in Ancona; † 11. October 1940 in Rome) was an italienischer Mathematiker und Physiker. He was 80 years old. He had at least 2 children (2 sons). His education included Scuola Normale Superiore and University of Pisa. He worked at University of Turin, University of Pisa and Sapienza University of Rome. He received 6 awards, including Officer of the Legion of Honour, Order of Leopold. He was buried at Ariccia cemetery.
