Biography of Walentin Danilowitsch Lopatin

Walentin Danilowitsch Lopatin (* 10. August 1908 in Lopatiha; † 21. April 1997 in Petrozavodsk) was a geobotanist. He was 88 years old. His education included Saint Petersburg State University and The Faculty of Geography and Geoecology. He worked at Institute of Marine Geology and Geophysics FEB RAS, Institute of Biology of KarRC RAS and Saint Petersburg State University. He received 5 awards, including Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945", Medal "For the Defence of Leningrad".
