Waleri Asapow (* 1. January 1966 in Konstantinovka; † 24. September 2017 in Deir ez-Zor) was a russischer Generalleutnant; Militärberater in Syrien. He was 51 years old. His education included Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia and Ryazan Airborne Command High School. He received 10 awards, including Medal "For Battle Merit", Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 2nd class without swords. He was buried at Federal Military Memorial Cemetery.
