Wallace Smith Broecker (* 29. November 1931 in Chicago; † 18. February 2019 in Manhattan) was an uS-amerikanischer Geochemiker und Klimaforscher. He was 87 years old. His education included Columbia University and Wheaton College. He worked at Columbia University. He received 10 awards, including Arthur L. Day Medal, Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement. His cause of death was congestive heart failure.
