Biography of Walter Baade

Walter Baade (* 24. March 1893 in Schröttinghausen; † 25. June 1960 in Göttingen) was a deutscher Astronom. He was 67 years old. His education included University of Göttingen and University of Münster. He worked at Mount Wilson Observatory, Palomar Observatory and University of Göttingen. His awards include Henry Norris Russell Lectureship, Gold Medal of the Royal Astronomical Society and Bruce Medal.
