Walter John Nickerson (* 6. August 1915 in Plainfield; † 5. March 1979) was an american biochemist. He was 63 years old. His education included West Chester University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University. He worked at Waksman Institute of Microbiology, Wheaton College, Tufts University School of Medicine, Brown University and Rutgers University. He was awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship.
