Biography of Walter Munk

Walter Munk (* 19. October 1917 in Vienna; † 8. February 2019 in La Jolla) was an american oceanographer. He was 101 years old. His education included California Institute of Technology, Columbia University, University of California, Los Angeles and Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He received 10 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Arthur L. Day Medal.
