Biography of Walter Noll

Walter Noll (* 7. January 1925 in Berlin; † 6. June 2017 in Pittsburgh) was a deutsch-amerikanischer Mathematiker. He was 92 years old. His education included Indiana University and Technische Universität Berlin. He worked at Johns Hopkins University, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Pisa, University of Pavia and Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. He was awarded the Fellow of the American Mathematical Society.
