Wassili Iwanowitsch Botscharow (* 10. January 1923 in Shepilovo; † 9. November 1994 in Zhukovsky) was a soviet aeronautical engineer, scientist in jet engines flight testing, aircraft flight safety and accident investigation. He was 71 years old. He studied at Moscow Aviation Institute. He worked at Gromov Flight Research Institute. He received 10 awards, including Order of the Red Banner of Labour, Medal "Veteran of Labour". He was buried at Ostrovtsy cemetery.
