Biography of Wayne A. Downing

Wayne A. Downing (* 10. May 1940 in Peoria; † 18. July 2007 in Peoria) was a retired four-star United States Army general. He was 67 years old. His education included Tulane University Freeman School of Business, United States Military Academy, Peoria Notre Dame High School, Air War College and Joint Forces Staff College. He received 10 awards, including Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star Medal. His cause of death was meningitis. He was buried at West Point Cemetery.
