Biography of Wiktor Barjachtar

Wiktor Barjachtar (* 9. August 1930 in Mariupol; † 25. August 2020) was a sowjetisch-ukrainischer Festkörperphysiker. He was 90 years old. He studied at National University of Kharkiv. He worked at Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology, Donetsk Institute for Physics and Technology, Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics, G. V. Kurdyumov Institute for Metal Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He received 8 awards, including Order of Lenin, Order of the Red Banner of Labour.
