Wilhelm Schmitz (* 2. August 1828 in Kalkum; † 17. June 1898 in Cologne) was a deutscher Klassischer Philologe und Gymnasialdirektor. He was 69 years old. His education included University of Bonn and Dreikönigsgymnasium. He worked at Dreikönigsgymnasium and Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium. He was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle 4th Class.
