William Lipscomb (* 9. December 1919 in Cleveland; † 14. April 2011 in Cambridge) was a nobel Prize-winning American inorganic and organic chemist. He was 91 years old. His education included California Institute of Technology and University of Kentucky. He received 6 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Nobel Prize in Chemistry. His cause of death was pneumonia.
