William Marshall Roark (* 23. October 1928 in Sioux City; † 7. April 1965 in North Vietnam) was a distinguished Flying Cross Recipient and Namesake of USS Roark. He was 36 years old. His education included United States Naval Academy and Omaha Central High School. He was awarded the Purple Heart. He was buried at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
