Biography of William Smith Clark

William Smith Clark (* 31. July 1826 in Ashfield; † 9. March 1886 in Amherst) was an uS-amerikanischer Botaniker, Professor für Botanik, Chemie und Zoologie. He was 59 years old. He was married to Harriet Keopuolani Richards. He had at least 1 child (1 son). His education included University of Göttingen, Amherst College, University of Massachusetts Amherst and Williston Northampton School. He worked at University of Massachusetts Amherst, Sapporo Agricultural College and Amherst College. His awards include Eisenmann Medal and Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. His cause of death was heart disease. He was buried at Amherst West Cemetery.
