Wladimir Michailowitsch Komarow (* 16. March 1927 in Moscow; † 24. April 1967 in Orenburg Oblast) was a sowjetischer Kosmonaut. He was 40 years old. His education included Borisoglebsk Higher Aviators School, Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy and Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots named after Hero of the Soviet Union A.K. Serov. He received 8 awards, including Hero of the Soviet Union, Order of the Red Star. His cause of death was aviation accident. He was buried at Kremlin Wall Necropolis.
