Biography of Yamamoto Isoroku

Yamamoto Isoroku (* 4. April 1884 in Nagaoka; † 18. April 1943 in Bougainville Island) was a japanischer Großadmiral. He was 59 years old. His education included Harvard University, Naval War College and Imperial Japanese Naval Academy. He received 10 awards, including Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords, Order of the Rising Sun, 1st class. His cause of death was ditching. He was buried at Tama Cemetery.
