Akito Arima (* 13. September 1930 in Osaka Prefecture; † 7. December 2020 in Tokyo) was a japanischer Kernphysiker. He was 90 years old. His education included University of Tokyo and Musashi Junior & Senior High School. He worked at University of Tokyo, Hosei University and Stony Brook University. He received 10 awards, including Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
