Biography of Alberto Calderón

Alberto Calderón (* 14. September 1920 in Mendoza; † 16. April 1998 in Chicago) was an argentinischer Mathematiker. He was 77 years old. He was married to Alexandra Bellow. His education included University of Buenos Aires, University of Chicago, Institut Montana Zugerberg and Colegio Nacional Agustín Alvarez. He worked at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Chicago, YPF, Ohio State University and Institute for Advanced Study. He received 5 awards, including National Medal of Science, Bôcher Memorial Prize.
