Biography of Alexander Issajewitsch Solschenizyn

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn (* 11. December 1918 in Kislovodsk; † 3. August 2008 in Moscow) was a russian writer, publicist, poet and politician. He was 89 years old. He had 3 wives. He studied at Rostov State University. His faith was Russian Orthodox Church. He received 10 awards, including Nobel Prize in Literature, Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945". His cause of death was heart failure. He was buried at Donskoe cemetery.
