British mathematician (1923-2014)
Alexander Murray MacBeath (* 30. June 1923 in Glasgow; † 14. May 2014 in Warwick) was a british mathematician. He was 90 years old. His education included Princeton University, Queen's University Belfast, Clare College and Royal Belfast Academical Institution. He worked at Bletchley Park, Clare College, University of Keele, University of Dundee, University of Birmingham, University of Pittsburgh, University of St Andrews and University of Warwick. His awards include Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and Smith's Prize.
