Biography of Alicja Iwańska

Alicja Iwańska (* 13. May 1918 in Gardzienice, Lublin Voivodeship; † 26. September 1996 in London) was a polnisch-US-amerikanische Soziologin. She was 78 years old. Her education included University of Warsaw and Columbia University. She worked at Atlanta University, Talladega College, University of Chicago, State University of New York at Albany, Polish University Abroad and Clark Atlanta University. Her awards include Kościelski Award, Order of Polonia Restituta and Knight of the Order of Polonia Restituta. Her cause of death was lung cancer.
