Biography of Andreas Hillgruber

Andreas Hillgruber (* 18. January 1925 in Węgorzewo; † 8. May 1989 in Cologne) was a deutscher Historiker. He was 64 years old. His education included University of Göttingen and Hufengymnasium. He worked at University of Marburg, University of Freiburg and University of Cologne. He was awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. His cause of death was esophageal cancer. He was buried at Melaten-Friedhof.
