Benjamin Britten (* 22. November 1913 in Lowestoft; † 4. December 1976 in Aldeburgh) was a britischer Komponist, Dirigent und Pianist. He was 63 years old. His education included Royal College of Music, Gresham's School and Old Buckenham Hall School. He received 8 awards, including Léonie Sonning Music Prize, Royal Philharmonic Society Gold Medal.
