Biography of Billy Taylor

Billy Taylor (* 24. July 1921 in Greenville; † 28. December 2010 in Manhattan) was an american jazz pianist, composer, broadcaster, and educator. He was 89 years old. His education included Virginia State University, University of Massachusetts Amherst and Dunbar High School. He received 6 awards, including National Medal of Arts, Grammy Trustees Award. His cause of death was heart failure.
