Doris Lessing (* 22. October 1919 in Kermanshah; † 17. November 2013 in London) was a british novelist, poet, playwright, librettist, biographer, and short story writer. She was 94 years old. She was married to Gottfried Lessing. She studied at Dominican Convent High School. She received 10 awards, including Nobel Prize in Literature, Somerset Maugham Award. Her cause of death was stroke. She was buried at Golders Green Crematorium.
