Biography of Edward Elgar

Edward Elgar (* 2. June 1857 in Lower Broadheath; † 23. February 1934 in Worcester) was an englischer Komponist. He was 76 years old. He was married to Caroline Alice Elgar. He studied at New College Worcester. He worked at University of Birmingham. He received 5 awards, including Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, Royal Philharmonic Society Gold Medal. His cause of death was colorectal cancer. He was buried at St Wulstan's Roman Catholic Church.
