Biography of Egon Wellesz

Egon Wellesz (* 21. October 1885 in Vienna; † 9. November 1974 in Oxford) was a österreichisch-britischer Komponist und Musikwissenschaftler. He was 89 years old. He studied at University of Vienna. He worked at University of Vienna. He received 5 awards, including Commander of the Order of the British Empire, Great Golden Medal of Honour for Services to the Republic of Austria. He was buried at Vienna Central Cemetery.
