Eldar Ryazanov (* November 18, 1927 in Samara; † November 30, 2015 in Moscow) was a soviet and Russian film director. He was 88 years old. He was married to Zoya Fomina. He studied at Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography. His awards include Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 2nd class, Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 3rd class and Nika Lifetime Achievement Award. His cause of death was myocardial infarction. He was buried at Novodevichy Cemetery.
