Biography of Elem Germanowitsch Klimow

Elem Klimov (* 9. July 1933 in Volgograd; † 26. October 2003 in Moscow) was a soviet film director. He was 70 years old. He was married to Larissa Jefimowna Schepitko. His education included Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography and Moscow Aviation Institute. His awards include People's Artist of the Russian Federation and Honored art worker of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. His cause of death was stroke. He was buried at Troyekurovskoye cemetery.
