Elias Canetti (* 25. July 1905 in Ruse; † 14. August 1994 in Zurich) was a deutschsprachiger Schriftsteller und Literatur-Nobelpreisträger. He was 89 years old. He was married to Veza Canetti and Hera Buschor. He studied at University of Vienna. He received 8 awards, including Pour le Mérite for Sciences and Arts order, Nobel Prize in Literature. He was buried at Fluntern Cemetery.
