Elliott Carter (* 11. December 1908 in Manhattan; † 5. November 2012 in New York City) was an american composer. He was 103 years old. His education included Harvard University, École Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot, Horace Mann School and Longy School of Music of Bard College. He received 10 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Rome Prize. He was buried at Green-Wood Cemetery.
