Biography of Eric Hobsbawm

Eric Hobsbawm (* 9. June 1917 in Alexandria; † 1. October 2012 in London) was a british academic historian and Marxist historiographer. He was 95 years old. He was married to Marion Bennathan. He had at least 1 child (1 son). His education included King's College, St Marylebone Grammar School and Prinz-Heinrichs-Gymnasium. He received 10 awards, including Balzan Prize, Bochum Historian Prize. His cause of death was pneumonia. He was buried at Highgate Cemetery.
