Ernest Walton (* 6. October 1903 in Abbeyside; † 25. June 1995 in Belfast) was an irish physicist and Nobel laureate. He was 91 years old. He was married to Winifred Walton. His education included Trinity College, Methodist College Belfast, Trinity College, Dublin and Cookstown High School. His faith was Methodism. His awards include Nobel Prize in Physics and Hughes Medal. He was buried at Deans Grange Cemetery.
