Biography of Ernst Krenek

Ernst Krenek (* 23. August 1900 in Vienna; † 22. December 1991 in Palm Springs) was a österreichischer-amerikanischer Komponist. He was 91 years old. He had 3 wives. His education included University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and Vassar College. He worked at Vassar College and University of California, San Diego. He received 10 awards, including Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, Ring of Honour of the City of Vienna. He was buried at Vienna Central Cemetery.
